Japan intends to provide 25 billion yen in loans to Mongolia

According to Kyodo News on October 10, Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi visited Mongolia on October 9 and held talks with the foreign minister Enkhtaiwang in a hotel in the capital Ulaanbaatar. Motegi said that to aid Mongolia’s economy affected by the global pandemic of the new coronavirus epidemic, it will provide 25 billion Japanese yen (about $236.78 million USD) loans.

After the talks, Motegi held an online press conference and emphasized that “the strategic partnership between the two countries will be further developed in the future.”
